Totes vs. cardboard

Why people don't go back to boxes.

  • 💪Nothing gets crushed. Each tote holds 50 lb and stacks five high without buckling. Your grandma's dishes ride safe.
  • ⏱️No assembly. Open lid, pack, snap lid. No taping the bottom and hoping.
  • 🛒Faster loading. Uniform stacks roll on dollies and fit through doors. Movers tell us they'd rather move totes any day.
  • 🌧️Rain-proof, bug-proof, basement-proof. Lids snap tight. Cardboard, not so much.
  • ♻️Nothing to throw away. We take them back. No flattening, no recycling run, no boxes in the garage until 2030.

Who we are

A real estate agent and a firefighter who got tired of watching people fight with boxes.

Alison sells homes across St. Louis. Every closing came with the same complaint: buy boxes, tape boxes, break down boxes, find somewhere to dump boxes. Patrick fights fires and fixes anything with a motor. Together they built the simplest fix they could think of: a trailer full of totes that shows up when you need it and leaves when you don't.

Meet Alison & Patrick

Alison Edwards

Co-founder · Real estate agent

Alison has helped St. Louis families buy and sell homes for years. Watching client after client buy a mountain of cardboard, then scramble to get rid of it, is what started this company.

Patrick Edwards

Co-founder · Firefighter

Patrick is a St. Louis firefighter and the guy behind every delivery. If a tote can't survive him loading it onto the trailer, it doesn't go out.

Service area

Questions

The stuff everyone asks.

How many totes do I need?

Our packages are sized by bedroom: 20 totes for a studio, 30 for a one bedroom, 40 for two, 60 for three, 80 for four, and 100 for five or more. If you're between sizes, go bigger. Extra totes are only $5 each and we'd rather you have a few empty ones than run out on packing night.

How long do I get the totes?

Every package includes two full weeks. Most people take delivery about a week before moving day and have us pick up about a week after. Need longer? Add weeks anytime, even mid-rental. The price per extra week is listed on every package.

Do I have to be home for delivery and pickup?

For delivery, yes, someone 18 or older needs to be there to sign. For pickup, just stack the empty totes somewhere we can reach them (garage, porch, or inside the front door) and let us know. You don't have to be there.

Are the totes clean?

Every tote is washed, sanitized, and dried before it goes back on the trailer. They arrive stacked, lidded, and ready to pack. We'd put our own dishes in them, and Patrick has.

What if I lose or damage a tote?

It happens. A lost or damaged tote is $20 and a lost dolly is $60. Normal scuffs, scratches, and label residue are expected and never charged.

Do I need to clean the totes before you pick them up?

No. Just empty them. Give a quick shake to any that held something messy and we'll handle the rest.
